Why Mary Centre?
A generation ago, people with developmental disabilities rarely lived into their fifties. Today, they’re thriving well into their seventies and eighties—this is a wonderful reason to celebrate! However, this longevity means many are outliving their parent(s), siblings, and/or caregivers, while simultaneously requiring more care as they age.
- About three (3) out of every hundred (100) people have some type of a developmental disability. A significant number require support with daily living. Both younger and older adults may require specialized support to help them thrive.
Mary Centre is dedicated to serving this growing adult community, with a particular focus on addressing their unique needs as individuals.
