John came to live in one of Mary Centre's four-person houses in Brampton, moving from a residence where he lived with up to 14 others.

John immediately took to his new home. Based on his interests and abilities, Mary Centre worked with him to create a plan that would help him realize his dreams. John honed his life skills: managing money, cooking and pedestrian safety. And he developed a daily schedule geared to his interests.

Today, John works on the production line for the Salvation Army. He's improving his reading skills through a program at the Peel Literacy Guild. And on weekends, he serves on the altar at his church.

A busy life. A happy life. And a satisfying life. That's what John has found at Mary Centre.
