An active, friendly man in his 60s, George was working at Goodwill two days a week. He was, however, feeling somewhat lonely and wanted to add some social and recreational activities to his life.

Through integrated seniors, Mary Centre connected George with a social group. George became an active member of this group of 10. Members meet and discuss what's happening in their lives, exercise and enjoy a variety of games.

George also connected with a Monday morning craft group at a seniors' centre where he discovered a new passion: painting ceramics. He has painted a family of rabbits, a Dalmatian and a hawk. He also painted a tea set that he gave to friends as a wedding gift.

George's depression has lifted - he's very happy with his new activities and has made lots of new friends.
