Frank Mason

That's when we met Frank.

Frank is our 'Mr. Fix-it' in the Peel region. He's done both small and large repairs at the Greenbriar and Aberdeen residences and even donated and installed two new dishwashers. As well, he purchased a furnace for another of our residences in Scarborough and hired a professional installer to help him get it up and running.

Frank does every job with care and pride. He's always willing and enthusiastic, has a smile on his face and engages everyone in friendly conversation.

A retired TTC driver, Frank has many interesting stories to share. One story was about a young man with Down Syndrome who drove on his bus every morning. He watched as people shunned this young man, who would sit sadly with his head down.

Frank thought, "I'm going to do something for him." Frank began to greet him joyfully every day and started calling him 'Superman.' The young man perked up, and over a period of time became a more confident and happy person. One day, he boarded the bus wearing a huge smile — and a t-shirt with a Superman logo on it!

Frank had made a new friend and added joy to a young man's life.
