In 1996, Bill moved into one of Mary Centre's supported independent living apartments in Toronto.

Bill has learned to shop, cook, clean and do everyday activities that enable him to live on his own - with a little help from Mary Centre.

Bill has also learned to socialize. According to his family, today he's happier and more outgoing. He joined a social club and made many new friends. He enjoys attending social functions like barbecues and pool tournaments. He also loves going to baseball, basketball and hockey games.
