for people like John John came to live in one of Mary Centre's four-person houses in Brampton, moving from a residence where he lived with up to 14 others. John immediately took to his new home. Based on his interests and abilities, Mary Centre worked with him to create a plan that would help him realize his dreams. John honed his life skills: managing money, cooking and pedestrian safety. And he developed a daily schedule geared to his interests. Today, John works on the production line for the Salvation Army. He's improving his reading skills through a program at the Peel Literacy Guild. And on weekends, he serves on the altar at his church. A busy life. A happy life. And a satisfying life. That's what John has found at Mary Centre.

Mary Centre delivers integrated support services and creates new opportunities for the benefit of the developmentally challenged, their families and the community in which we live.

We're a small agency serving as a big centre of support, information, caring and sharing. We strive to meet changing needs by providing a variety of residential and outreach support services in the Greater Toronto Area and York Region. We welcome people of all faiths, while reflecting Catholic values.

People with developmental challenges are vital and integral members of our community life. At Mary Centre, we believe that focusing on the gifts and contributions of those who are developmentally challenged enriches the lives of everyone.
